We enjoyed a WONDERFUL holiday weekend at Pepa's house.

PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

On this Memorial holiday weekend I thought it appropriate to find a image of my favorite American monument. This was taken last summer, July 2007, on a visit home. I grew up in Sioux Falls South Dakota and have seen Mount Rushmore many, many times and every single time is a treasured memory. Be safe this holiday weekend and take a moment to remember those who went before us, making it possible for us to be free. "Freedom is not FREE".

Without question, today's photo needed to be of Ian's new hair! Scott took him last night. I snapped this shot this morning on our way out the door to Pre-K school. He is so darn cute!

The grass is pretty thin once you walk into the the yard, but hey, the view from the street ROCKS!

I missed a post for yesterday, the 19th. I am looking for a good photo of Scott. This weekend should be the perfect time to get one, we will be in Oklahoma visiting Scott's dad, Pepa.

Yesterday, Ian's best buddy, Annie, visited him. So darn cute! Annie used to live next door, but moved to Austin. We owe Annie a visit to her house now.

I was going through some of my photo files this morning, ran across this 'self portrait"! Taken during spring break, Breckenridge Colorado. I was taking a snowboard lesson, by myself, so there is no proof that I really did it, but, I DID! It was a blast, until I got altitude sickness! Oh well, next year!

Last Saturday, at this time, we were on our way to Scarborough Faire Renaissance Festival. We try to go every year, something Scott and I have done for a long time. My brother Todd and his wife Heather joined us again this year, they come as often as they can. This year was the FIRST time for cousin Geo, I think he had a pretty good time.

The new "Karate Kid"! Ian had his 2nd lesson, and is LOVING it! I am so proud of him!

My gardenia bush has blooms ALL over it this spring, they smell so good!

So the blog is started...now, what to do with it....hmmm.

I am thinking, " a picture a day". Sounds like a pretty good challenge.
